Charge up and drive on:
THE BENEFITS OF OFF-ROAD PARKING AND HOME CHARGING FOR YOUR MINI EV.

Thinking of switching to an electric vehicle (EV)? At MINI, we’re excited to guide you on this journey. One essential consideration is having the right home setup for parking and charging. Let’s explore the advantages of off-road parking and home charging for your next MINI EV.

Save Big with Home Charging.

Cost-Effective Charging Charging your MINI EV at home is notably cheaper than using public stations. With overnight charging during off-peak hours, you can power up for just a few pounds, thanks to lower electricity tariffs and special EV rates from energy providers.

Time-Efficient Charge your MINI EV overnight and eliminate the need for frequent visits to public charging stations. Enjoy the convenience of a fully charged car every morning, ready for your day’s adventures.

Boost Your Property’s Value Installing a home charging station can enhance your property’s value. As EVs become more popular, having charging infrastructure makes your home more appealing to future buyers.

Customisable Options Home charging offers flexibility. Choose a standard Level 2 charger for regular overnight charging or a faster charger for quicker top-ups based on your needs and lifestyle.

PERSONALISED JOURNEY CALCULATIONS FOR ALL ELECTRIC VEHICLES.

The indicative home charging electricity costs, MINI Charging, Smart Tariff and annual fuel savings results are based on the mileage, fuel type, miles per gallon (mpg), fuel costs and electricity costs (kW/h) which you enter in the tool. The starting figures for electricity and fuel costs (used if you do not change them) are the average fuel figures published by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, June 2024 of petrol £1.47/litre and diesel £1.53/litre and the average home charging electricity cost of £0.25p/kWh published by Ofgem, June 2024.

Key Considerations for Your MINI EV

As you consider an EV, evaluate your parking and charging situation:

  • Off-Road Parking:

Do you have a driveway or garage?

  • Home Charging Setup:

Check local regulations and incentives for installing a charging station.

  • Driving Habits:

Assess if home charging will align with your daily driving needs.

Why Off-Road Parking Makes Sense.

Enhanced Security Off-road parking, like a driveway or garage, adds an extra layer of security for your MINI EV. It reduces the risk of theft or damage compared to street parking, so you can rest easy knowing your MINI is safe.

Convenient Charging Access With off-road parking, you can easily install a home charging station. No more worrying about running extension cords across pavements or finding public charging spots. Simply plug in your MINI EV when you get home and start each day with a full charge.

No Driveway? No Worries!

If you don’t have off-road parking, don’t fret. Many local councils and private companies are expanding public charging networks, including on-street solutions. At MINI, we can help you navigate the best public charging options available to you.

At MINI, we're committed to making your EV experience smooth and enjoyable. From choosing the perfect MINI EV to finding the best charging solutions, our team is here to support you. Visit us today to discover how a MINI EV, along with off-road parking and home charging, can redefine your driving experience.

Embrace the future of driving with MINI. Embrace convenience, efficiency, and style.
